The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Canada took part in the closing event of the “Canadian Market Access and Capacity Building Services 2014-2018” of the Trade Facilitation Office of Canada (TFO Canada).
The main objective of the program was to improve the quality of life through the promotion and development of sustainable and inclusive trade. This was possible thanks to the coordination of TFO Canada and the financial support of the Trading Partners Responsive Facility (TPRF).
The TPRF fund is managed by Global Affairs Canada with the purpose of providing assistance to medium and small companies in developing countries so that they can take advantage of the new export opportunities created by trade agreements and preferential mechanisms of Canada.
As a member of the 15 Priority Countries of TFO Canada, the Dominican Republic had the opportunity to participate in the trade program, through which various business activities were carried out that directly benefited several Dominican companies.
