The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Canada, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism via its Montreal Office, was part of the 1st. Latin American Health and Wellness Fair, with a cuisine tasting of exquisite traditional dishes of the Dominican gastronomy, prepared according to the recipes of the Dominican nutritionist Dr. Eva Rodríguez de Marchena.
The fair was held in the Jean Pigott place of Ottawa City Hall under the coordination of the Embassy of Mexico in Canada and the authorities of the city. The event attracted the participation of more than 50 organizations dedicated to preventive health and wellness, along with the support of a group of Latin American embassies that offered healthy and delicious snacks.
For a large majority of Canadians, healthy eating has gone from being a simple trend to becoming a way of life, which promises to generate many business opportunities for countries that, like the Dominican Republic, offer fresh products and a rich and diverse gastronomy that brings together a number of vital nutrients necessary for a healthy living.
