The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Canada deeply regrets the passing of Sor Susan Daly, a Canadian Grey Sister of the Congregation of the Immaculate Conception.
Sister Susan was sent to the Dominican Republic in 1959, specifically to the municipality of Consuelo and later moved to Yamasá, the first mission destination of the Sisters in the country. She received the honorary title of “Adopted Daughter of Yamasá” and in 2002 she received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice decoration for her work in Catechesis.
Throughout her religious life, she served twelve years doing humanitarian work in Asia (China, Japan) and 44 years in the Dominican Republic.
The wake service was held in Pembroke, Canada, where members of this Mission presented their condolences to her family and friends and their deep appreciation for the invaluable work of Sister Susan in favor of the Dominican people.
MAY GOD REST HER SOUL!
