Santo Domingo. - The Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD) announced the completion of a work plan that seeks to strengthen the Dominican-Canadian relations. The information was given by Marius De León, Executive Director of the institution, and by Pedro Vergés, Dominican Ambassador to Canada.
65 years of diplomatic relations
The project will be carried out within the framework of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both nations.
New investment opportunities
It will seek to detect new opportunities, and to strengthen trade and investment relations between the Dominican Republic and Canada.
Training for Dominican exporters
The implementation of this work plan will benefit Dominican exporters within the fruit and vegetable industry, who will receive training seminars sponsored by the CEI-RD on the new Canadian norms and regulations.
The first phase was held last May with a workshop on how to export to Canada and a business meeting with the main investors of that country in the Dominican Republic.
This program would be a continuation of the work plan designed by the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Canada in conjunction with CEI-RD.
