The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Canada, with the support of the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD), successfully held the Virtual Seminar: Exporting to Canada under its New Food Safety Standard, with the objective of contributing to improving the export capacity of the Dominican Republic to Canada, focusing on the knowledge of the logistic aspects that must be taken into account to carry out exports transactions in the most suitable way.

The speakers were Daniel Burgoyne, National Manager of Food Imports at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and Jaime Bustamante, Trading Assistance Manager at the Fruit and Vegetable Dispute Resolution Corporation (DRC), and feature the participation of the Ambassadors of Paraguay and Guatemala, as well as the representation in Canada of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA-Canada) and the Trade Facilitation Office of Canada (TFO Canada), who met virtually with CEI-RD, Dominican exporters and other officials of the public sector that were interested in the Canadian market.
