DR Embassy in Canada strengthens ties with Bell Textron Canada

The meeting, in follow-up to the Business Mission that visited the country last October, represents an important step in cooperation in security and defense matters for the country.

 

Mirabel, Quebec, Canada.- The Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Canada, Michelle Cohen, visited the facilities of the company Bell Textron Canada, based in the city of Mirabel, near Montreal, with the aim of strengthening cooperation ties in security and defense for the benefit of the country.

The Dominican diplomat was received by Mr. Marc Bigaouette, director of the business organization, who highlighted the important significance for Bell Textron Canada of strengthening its relations with the government authorities of the Dominican Republic.

During this technical inspection visit to the facilities, Ambassador Michelle Cohen expressed her gratitude for Bell Textron interest's in the country and the willingness of the Dominican government to continue working hand in hand with Canada to build a safer region.

At the event, held as a follow-up to the High-Level Business Mission of Canadian public and private entities that visited the country last October, the representative of the Dominican State was accompanied by members of the Dominican diplomatic corps accredited in Canada.

Cohen was also accompanied by representatives of the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), which has an important relationship built with the Dominican Republic for almost a decade.

Bell Textron Canada is part of the Bell Textron business group, a subsidiary of the American multinational Textron, and is a company dedicated to the manufacture of aeronautical equipment, which manufactures both military and commercial helicopters, and for civil use, at its different headquarters.

The Canadian Government Programs of the Bell Textron division in Mirabel are directed by Mr. Marc Bigaouette, who joined Bell in 2017 after developing a 37-year career in the Canadian Air Force, piloting important aircraft and standing out for his leadership as an Officer.
